Join Hope College Volleyball and Hope College Athletics in supporting Community Action House's Food Club and help stock the shelves for our neighbors in need.
Bring non-perishable food items to the Flying Dutch matches at DeVos Fieldhouse against Alma College on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. and Trine University on Friday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m. and receive free admission.
All donations will go directly to the Community Action House's Food Club, 739 Paw Paw Dr., in Holland.
Community Action House is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit agency that has worked to end hunger in the Holland area since 1969. The Food Club is an affordable membership-based grocery store where your monthly membership gets you points to shop for food based on your household size and income.
Items of highest need are:
- healthy cooking oil (olive oil, coconut oil, canola oil)
- dried beans
- red lentils
- broth
- whole wheat pasta
- gluten-free pasta
- spices
- corn masa
- basmati rice
- canned fruit (in 100% fruit juice)
- tea/coffee
- canned coconut milk
- canned beans
- juice (low sugar)
- ensure or protein drinks
- unsalted nuts.
