Each year, Hope College athletics teams don purple attire in tribute to loved ones and friends on their backs, including tonight's 5 p.m. women's soccer vs. Albion College. Proceeds from Purple Community events go toward providing internships for Hope students at Van Andel Institute. 

Van Andel Institute is an independent research facility devoted to improving human health through biomedical research and science education. Purple Community is a dynamic community awareness and fundraising program for the Van Andel Institute that connects individuals, schools, teams, companies, and corporations that want to join the fight against cancer and neurodegenerative diseases with the resources needed for action.
