The Hope College men's soccer team lost to Presidents' Athletic Conference preseason favorite Grove City College (Pennsvylvania), 2-0, on Friday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
The Flying Dutchmen could not overcome giving another early goal like did during Wednesday's 1-1 tie at the University of Chicago.
Grove City (3-2-1) struck in the fourth minute when Luke Ladas deflected Noah Gray's short cross from the end line past Hope goalkeeper

The Wolverines extended their lead in the 64th minute Gray buried a free kick from 20 yards out into the top right corner of the net.
Hope (34-1) outshot Grove City by a 26-8 margin. The Wolverines did have another shot on goal after the Ladas goal.
Grove City keeper Keller Krieger made five saves.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. when they host Anderson University (Indiana) at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
