The Hope College women's tennis team punched its ticket to the MIAA Tournament final with a commanding 4-1 victory over fourth-seeded Calvin University on Wednesday at the VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts.Â
The Flying Dutch (17-6) jumped ahead by securing the doubles point, winning two of three matches to build early momentum.Â
Hope carried that success into singles play, where decisive wins at the top three flights sealed the match before the fifth and sixth flights could be completed.
The Flying Dutch will host second-seeded Kalamazoo College in the title match on Friday, May 2, at 4 p.m.
Hope is seeking a 13th consecutive MIAA Tournament title.
