Sunny Florida play and a split day is how the Hope College women's tennis team started the spring break trip matches on Monday in Orlando, Florida.
The 37th-ranked Flying Dutch took down the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 4-3, before falling to St. Lawrence University, 4-3, at the United States Tennis Association National Training Center.
Hope is now 5-2 on the season.
Against Eau-Claire, the Flying Dutch earned the doubles point by winning at one and two doubles, as well as securing victories in two, three, and six singles.
