Women's Tennis Splits First Day in Florida

Sunny Florida play and a split day is how the Hope College women's tennis team started the spring break trip matches on Monday in Orlando, Florida.

The 37th-ranked Flying Dutch took down the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 4-3, before falling to St. Lawrence University, 4-3, at the United States Tennis Association National Training Center.

Hope is now 5-2 on the season. 

Against Eau-Claire, the Flying Dutch earned the doubles point by winning at one and two doubles, as well as securing victories in two, three, and six singles.

Against St. Lawrence, the Flying Dutch picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, and in the five and six singles slots.
