The Hope College women's basketball team debuts at No. 23 in the D3hoops.com preseason poll.
The Flying Dutch received 144 points in the D3hoops.com Top 25, which is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country. Points are awarded on a 25-24-23-22-etc. basis.
Defending national champion New York University topped the poll with 608 points and 17 first-place votes.
Hope, coming off a 21-5 season, returns one of its three All-MIAA selections from last year: sophomore guard Anna Richards (DeWitt, Michigan / Lansing Catholic).
Head coach Brian Morehouse leads the Flying Dutch. In his 30th season, Morehouse owns a 732-103 career record (.877) and a 390-42 mark in MIAA play (.903).
The Flying Dutch tip off the 2025-26 season on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. Central against 15th-ranked University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
