Women's Tennis Falls to Cornerstone

Box Score Sophomore Sullivan Moran earned two points for the Hope College women's tennis team during a 7-2 loss to Cornerstone University on Friday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

At No. 2 singles, Moran (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves HS) defeated Cornerstone's Sophie Smith, 6-1, 7-5.

At No. 1 doubles, Moran paired with freshman Amanda Lopykinski (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) for an 8-5 victory against Cornerstone's Ximena Matamoros and Camila Ibarra.

The Flying Dutch fell to 0-1 on the season. Cornerstone improved to 2-1.

Hope's next matches are Friday-Saturday, Feb. 17-18, at Ohio Northern University and Oberlin College (Ohio), respectively.
